Neal Andrew Thrailkill, 48, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 2, 2013, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Neal was born April 5, 1965, in Fort Belvoir, VA, to Brant Oscar Thrailkill and Georgianna Emily Skaer Thrailkill. He grew up and attended schools in Fairfax, Virginia, and graduated from Robinson High School and then attended Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). He was working toward a degree in Computer Security. Neal lived in Reston, Virginia for the past 17 years, before moving to Idaho Falls in 2012.
On October 26, 1991, he married Shirley Dawn Roberts at Alexandria, VA. The were sealed in the Washington DC LDS Temple on January 5, 2001.
Neal had many jobs over the years, working as a party deejay, in computer support, as a security guard, limo driver and in men’s clothing sales.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved music and had been a member of the Fairfax Jubilaires. He loved learning with and caring for children, and was involved in the Boy Scouts program. He was very well loved in the community, and was loved more than anything in the world by his family. He was always ready to brighten the world with his smile and humor. He was the best friend anyone could have!
Neal is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Shirley Thrailkill of Idaho Falls, ID;
sons, Brant and Andrew Thrailkill and daughters, Marcellene (Marci) and Madison (Madi) Thrailkill of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother, Gary Thrailkill of Culpepper, VA;
brother, Brant David Thrailkill of Dallas, Texas;
sister, Bonnie Pignataro of McKinney, Texas;
mother-in-law, Shirley Wheeler Roberts of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother-in-law, Shawn (Michelle) Cleverly of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother-in-law, Scott (Peggy) Cleverly of Idaho Falls, ID;
brother-in-law, Jim Cleverly of Hickory, NC;
brother-in-law, Craig (Jackie) Cleverly of Hickory, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Judy Thrailkill.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 12:00 noon, at the Idaho Falls LDS 11th Ward building, 1235 Juniper Drive, with Bishop Thomas Barker officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. A luncheon will follow the services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Wood Funeral Home to help with the costs of services.
