Nathan Woolf

Nathan "Neight" Bradley Woolf was born March 8, 1979, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and passed away February 9, 2017, after a twelve-year battle with brain cancer. Neight attended high schools in Idaho Falls and Salt Lake City, Utah, before graduating in 1997. Later, he went on to study computer network systems where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from ITT in 2002. Much of Neight's career was spent working in the Philippines as an IT Project Manager for Teleperformance Philippines in Manila. It was while working in the Philippines that he met the love of his life, May-An Mercader. From a young age, Neight was naturally curious. He loved reading, billiards, cooking, appreciated a good cigar, and traveling. Neight’s sharp wit was complimented by a dry sense of humor. He had an uncanny ability of expressing his feelings in long silences rather than wasting such sentiments on words. Neight traveled as much as he could, visiting China, Cambodia, Thailand--to name a few. Neight was a loving father and husband and is survived by his adoring wife, May-An; two children, Asia Mercader Woolf (6) and Skyler Homer Woolf (1) of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Marcia (Tommy) Lew of Idaho Falls, ID; siblings, Ryan (Renee) Woolf of Layton, UT, Cindy (Jay) Stolworthy of St. George, UT, Kirk Woolf of Idaho Falls, ID, Tony Woolf of Las Vegas, NV, Brett (Katrina) Jensen of Idaho Falls, ID, Katie (Cary) Katalin of Colorado Springs, CO, Stephanie (Kamron Keele) Jensen of Salt Lake City, UT, Jody (Mike) Harker of Idaho Falls, ID; and his two brothers from other mothers, Denim (Andy) Butler of Idaho Falls, ID and Dave (Rhea) Rizzo of Manila, Philippines. Neight was preceded in death by his father, Homer E. Woolf; brother, Randall "Randy" Woolf; and grandparents, Edna Empey Woolf Edwards, Fenton Bradley Woolf, Bette Pearl Foster Ogle, and Cloyd Ogle. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Randy Jensen and Dr. Adam Cohen and their team at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for the tremendous care they provided Neight throughout the years. They made this journey much more bearable and were always there to offer hope, when hope was available to provide. Also to LaDonna, Sheri, Roger, and the staff from Teton Hospice who provided comfort and solace when it was needed most, not only for Neight but also for May-An. Thank you! A Gathering will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will hold a private interment service at the Ammon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been set up for Neight's children at Idaho Central Credit Union (Account 714172832).
