Natalie Ann Scott, 41, of Idaho Falls, passed away in her sleep on September 7, 2016, at her home.
Natalie was born February 8, 1975. She was the middle child with two brothers older and two younger. People felt sorry for her because she was the only girl, but she bossed all her brothers around. She was a social butterfly, gathering friends along her way. Natalie was a curious learner all her life. She researched many topics and during her years of poor health this became her mainstay.
Natalie loved to dance and began lessons at age 4. She continued to dance all through her childhood and was the Firth Cougarette drill mistress in high school. As an adult, she enrolled in hip hop classes. This summer she volunteered for a dance-off competition with a very close friend, but ill health forced her to drop out.
On June 14, 1995, Natalie married Yoshiteru Kinjo in Ammon, Idaho. Together they were college students pursuing dreams. Kassidy, their beautiful daughter, joined the twosome. Blakely, their little man, completed the family. Education went on the back burner as Natalie’s time was consumed with motherhood. She persisted in her education and graduated with honors from University of Washington, earning her bachelor’s degree. This represented a huge accomplishment and one that she excelled at. She was a talented creative writer, winning a university sponsored challenge to write a paper on campus diversity. This resulted in one year of free tuition. She wanted to become a lawyer and passed the LSAT test with a 97%. One of her professors advised, "I know you want to be a lawyer, but you are a writer."
Natalie was divorced and maintained a fun home for herself and her children. This was a special time for the three of them.
For the past 4 ½ years, Natalie returned to the family home where she grew up, residing with her mother. She had a generous heart and gave anything she had to help another. She busied herself by making jewelry, dancing, listening to music, reading, crafting, and moving into her "girlie cave" in the basement.
Natalie missed her children greatly but enjoyed their telephone chats. Natalie was our bright star and was deeply loved and cherished.
