Naoma Nell Woodhouse Ringel, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 17, 2012, at her home of cancer. She was under the care of her family and Aspen Home Health & Hospice.
Naoma was born May 22, 1928, in Twin Groves, Idaho, to Adrian Byron Carter and Hazel Ivy Edginton Carter. She grew up in Twin Groves, and St. Anthony, and graduated from South Fremont High School in St. Anthony.
On September 3, 1948, she married Albert “Keith” Woodhouse in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Naoma was a wife, mother, and homemaker, and also worked as a telephone operator, lunch lady at Skyline High School, and in the potato industry for many years. Keith passed away March 28, 1982, in Idaho Falls.
She married Roy P. Ringel in August, 1986, in Idaho Falls. He passed away January 3, 2010.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Naoma served in nearly any and every capacity over the years except priesthood positions. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Senior Center. She loved crocheting, quilting, sewing, canning, hiking, gardening, and candy making. Most all of her time in her later years was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Stepdaughter, Charlotte (Vance) Moulton of Victor, ID;
Stepson, Logan (Lori) Ringel of Tetonia, ID,
Stepson, Brent Ringel of Firth, ID;
Brother, William Carter of Spokane, WA;
48 grandchildren and 78 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two daughters, June Woodhouse and Ann Woodhouse, a sister, Bess Lowther, four brothers, Douglas Carter, Keith Carter, her twin brother, Neil Carter, Riley Dee Carter,
and a grandson, Rhett Moulton.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Brookview Ward, 1925 East 49th South, with Bishop James Barnes officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be next to her husband, Keith, in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
