KAY SIMMONS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Myron Kay Simmons Jr., 72, of Idaho Falls passed away December 1, 2008 at his home. He was born November 16, 1936 in Idaho Falls to Myron Kay Simmons, Sr. and Nola Harris Simmons. He grew up in the Ririe area and graduated from Ririe High School. He married Sharon Marie Cromwell on June 21, 1957. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where Kay was a police officer with the Idaho Falls Police for 35 years. He was a member of the Nazarene Church. Kay enjoyed golfing, fishing bowling, camping and woodwork. He especially enjoyed spending time with his sons, grandchildren, and doing projects with his daughter-in-law, Debi. Survivors include, his wife, Sharon of Idaho Falls; Son, Bradley Kay (Debi) Simmons of Idaho Falls; Son, Kurt Alan Simmons of Idaho Falls; Son, Douglas Richard Simmons of Shelley; Brother, Ronald Flamm of OR 8 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Bonnie Lou Cartier. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2008, at the Church of the Nazarene, 1900 Grandview Drive. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Friday from 12 Noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the services.
