MYRNA STUCKI
COLTMAN, ID -- Myrna Louise Murri
Stucki, 65, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed
away at her home in Coltman, surrounded by her family, after a valiant battle
with pancreatic cancer, on Sunday, May 25, 2003.
She was born October 17, 1937,
in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Charles Henry Murri and Vella Lucille Durney Murri,
the fourth of four children. She spent her childhood and youth growing up
in St. Anthony. She graduated from South Fremont High School in 1955. She
later married Jerrold Stanley Stucki of Coltman on May 14, 1959, marriage
solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She lived in the Coltman area
her entire life enjoying the peace and quiet of the country. An active member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Myrna served in many
positions with the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. She was very
dedicated and always willing to help others in need and was a good friend
to those around her.
Myrna enjoyed music, reading,
gardening, camping, needlepoint, quilting, thimble collecting, traveling,
and spending time with her family. She especially liked to spend time with
her grandchildren, whom she loved so very much. She retired from Household
Financial Services in 1999 after a long professional career and enjoyed
living the retired life. Myrna loved to drive through Yellowstone Park several
times each year and found it so very relaxing. She taught her children and
grandchildren many life skills and how to enjoy what they do. She enjoyed
doing family history research and was an active member of the Daughters
of the Utah Pioneers. Myrna lead a full life and will be sorely missed by
her family, friends, and neighbors.
Myrna is survived by her husband,
Jerry; her four children, Brian (Mary Jo) of Idaho Falls, Pam (Roger) Saunders
of Kaysville, Utah, Jeff (Sherri) of West Bountiful, Utah, and Trenna (Burt)
Muckleroy of Idaho Falls; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Darwin (Carol) Murri
of Idaho Falls, and a sister, Shirlene (Harmon) Brower of Clinton, Utah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Nadine (Lewis) Howell,
and three children, Kathy Lynne, Shawn, and Craig.
Funeral Services are under the
direction of the Wood Funeral Home Chapel of the Pines and will be held
at the Coltman LDS Meeting House on the Lewisville Highway (12448 North
5th East), at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2003, with Bishop Dave Keck of the
Coltman 2nd Ward officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral
home, 273 North Ridge, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45
a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
In
lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Myrna's honor
to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1920 East 17th Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83404,
or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network National Headquarters, 2221 Rosecrans
Ave., Suite 131, El Segundo, CA 90245, who provide hope and awareness to
the Pancreatic Cancer community (www.pancan.org).
