RICHARDSON IDAHO FALLS, ID: Myrna Winn Richardson, 65, a former resident of Idaho Falls, died February 26, 2002 in AIken, South Carolina, from complications of cancer. She was born June 25, 1936 in Idaho Falls to Marion Winn and Marcella Andrew Winn. She was the fhird of five children, Gwen (Evan) Chesley of Salt Lake City, Glenna (Marvin) Jorgensen of Idaho Falls, Grant (Ann) Winn of Missoula, Montana, and Marian (Lynn) Hoppie of Mesa, Arizona. Her father died six weeks before Marian was born and Myrna was 7 years old. She lived in Idaho Falls until she graduated from High School. A year later, she and some friends took a trip to California, where she met the love of her life, George Richardson. They were married a few months later. They lived in California until George got out of the Navy. They then moved to Citronel, Alabama, where his family lived. Their first three children were born there. Gail (Lloyd) Pierson, Norma R. Hall and Treva R. Vail. They then moved to Idaho Falls where he worked with the AEC. They had two children born to them here. Julie (Phillip) Cawthon and Jason (Kathy) Richardson. They then moved to Aiken, South Carolina where Anita (Jeff) Sackett was born. Due to George's work, they moved to many states, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Ariona, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and New York. Myrna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many church positions wherever they went. She was Relief Society President twice, chorister and a teacher of many different classes. Because of Myrna, the Richardson genealogy has been extended as far as the sixteen hundreds and his mother joined the church before she died. Myrna was an excellent cook and was always inviting people for dinner or taking food to those who were ill or in need of a meal. She was famous for her bread and rolls and introduced yeast rolls in many parts of the South. When all the children were small, they would entertain as a family for many occasions. George played his guitar and they all would sing. George and Myrna would entertain as a duet for many occasions, also. They have always been a musical family with very beautiful voices. Besides her family, many people from many states will certainly miss her. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, with of officiating. The family will meet with friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
