MURIEL WEINER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Muriel Rita Langlais Weiner, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 28, 2007, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehab of causes incident to age. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice.
Muriel was born September 26, 1926, in Sanford, Maine, to Fernand Langlais and Laura Vermette Langlais. She grew up and attended schools in Sanford, where she graduated from high school.
She married I. Whitney Smith on December 18, 1949, at Sanford, Maine, and they were later divorced. She married Donald G. Weiner December 30, 1972, in Reno, Nevada. He passed away April 21, 1990. Muriel worked as an executive secretary at Sohio Petroleum Company in San Francisco, California, and retired in November, 1990.
She enjoyed reading, walking, gardening, traveling, writing to friends, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted grandmother and her grandchildren will always have wonderful memories of fun times spent with her.

Son: Scott W. (Cindy) Smith of Richland, WA
Son: Todd H. Smith of Newbury Park, CA
Daughter-In-Law: Karla Smith of Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Arthur Langlais of Little Rock, AR
Sister: Lorraine Lantagne of Sanford, ME
8 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, a sister, Betty-Lou, and three brothers, Richard, James, and Paul Langlais.
The family would like to give special thanks to Aspen Home, Health, and Hospice for their kind and loving care of Muriel.
A Family Gathering will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge.
Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
