MORGAN B. EVANS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Morgan Barrus Evans, 47, of Idaho Falls, died June 28, 2003, at his home of cancer. He was under the care of the Aspen Home Health Care. He was born July 19, 1955, at Blackfoot, to Sterling L. Evans and Arveen Barrus Evans. He grew up in Springfield, where he attended Springfield and Grandview Elementary School. He then attended Aberdeen Junior High School and graduated from Aberdeen High School. He married Sherry Claunch August 19, 1977, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Newdale for twelve years, then in Magna, Utah, for seven years, and moved to Idaho Falls five years ago. He worked as a farmer for several years, then went back to Ricks College to learn computer programming. At the time of his death he was a Senior Technical Consultant with AMX International. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission to Kentucky in his youth. He has also served as Young Men President, Elders Quorum Presidency, Webelos leader, Sunday School Teacher, Bishop, Varsity Scout Coach, and in name extraction. He enjoyed hunting, target shooting, horseback riding, riding 4-wheelers, Dutch oven cooking, and being with his family, especially precious moments spent with his granddaughter, Tashia. Surviving are: Wife: Sherry Evans, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Christopher [Carol] Evans, Magna, UT Daughter: Megan Evans, Pocatello, ID Son: Ryan Evans, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Shaun Evans, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Devin Evans, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Twila Evans, Thornton, CO Sister: Margaret Barker, Malad, ID Sister: Marjorie Sivula, Springfield, ID Sister: Rita Bromley, Springfield, ID 1 Granddaughter, Tashia He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Brentwood Ward, 2040 Brentwood Drive, with Brad Hendricks of the Brentwood Ward Bishopric officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
