I live in California but did live in Palisades with my parents when my dad worked on the dam there. We used to visit Aunt Minnie frequently and I remember her up-beat personality and good cooking very well. What a legacy of hard work and determination she leaves for her children and grandchildren and great- grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Peggy Cindy Marks cindyhmarks@cableone.net To All Great Grandma's Loved Ones: I remember Great Grandma as the happiest, most positive, loving person I knew. She was always happy to have company, happy to be cooking, gardening, and quilting. She could never feed us enough it seemed. I remember her caramel popcorn on the holidays, fresh rolls, pies, and of course the main dish. Her love for quilting was always an inspiration to me. Her circle of friends sitting in the living room, stitching the quilt, taking a break for lunch and tea, and then back to the quilt again. She never quit at anything . . . . Great Grandma lived a full life, and I know that she is now reunited, once again, with Great Grandpa in Heaven. With Love, Cindy Joyce Phillips Hansen jhansen@eitc.edu My heart goes out to you as you say goodbye to such a wonderful lady. I remember Minnie as the sweetest "Lunch Lady" ever! Then as the Grandmother Chad adored. Minnie reminded me of my own wonderful Grandmother whom I miss dearly. I know Minnie left this world with an awesome soul print! Chad, you and your family are in my thoughts. Love, Joyce Carli Merkel carli_justin@hotmail.com I am sorry to hear of Grandma Minnie's passing. I want to send my condolences to the entire family, and especially those who know me: Chad, Erick, Celicia, Jason, and Sally.
