Millie Crystal

Elsie Mildred "Millie" Erickson Crystal, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 19, 2016, at Lily & Syringa Assisted Living Center. She was born September 22, 1930, in Pocatello, Idaho, to John Doyle Richardson and Eva Edna Stewart Richardson. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Pocatello High School. On February 14, 1948, she married Jack Elnor Erickson in Pocatello, Idaho. To this union were born five children. They were later divorced. She married Floyd David Crystal on December 27, 1971, in Ammon, Idaho, and they were later divorced. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Millie worked as an in-home health care provider for many years. She also worked many years at the Idaho Department Store and spent several years selling World Book Encyclopedias. Millie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved gardening, cooking, traveling and the outdoors. Working in her yard brought great enjoyment to her. Millie especially loved her family and spending time with the grandchildren. She delighted her family with cinnamon rolls, chocolate cakes and caramel popcorn. Survivors are: Daughter: Julie Ann Erickson (Kenneth Gordon) Phillips of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Marsha Kaye Erickson Seegmiller of St. George, UT Son: Shon Stanford Erickson of Gilbert, AZ Son: Robert Dwain (Bonnie Jean McCoy) Erickson of Meridian, ID Son: Eric Jack (Miriam Loraine Scott) Erickson of Ammon, ID Daughter: Joy Crystal of Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Diane Nielsen of Idaho Falls, ID Son: Terry (Lea) Crystal of Boise, ID Son: Ron (Karen) Crystal of Rigby, ID Sister: Betty Jean Zundel of Pocatello, ID Sister: Cleone (Bob) Tanner of Cathlamet, WA Sister: Dana Brown of Missoula, MT Sister: Joan (John) Hennelly of North Webster, IN 35 Grandchildren, 70 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husbands, Jack Erickson and Floyd Crystal; two brothers, Doyle Dean and Bobby Dean; a son, Larry Crystal; a daughter, Sharon Martensen and two granddaughters, Marjorie Nichole Phillips and Anaka Coleman. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Hands of Hope Hospice, Lily & Syringa Assisted Living, and Turtle & Crane Assisted Living for their kind and loving care of Millie. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Idaho Falls LDS Mill Run Ward, 2020 South Charlotte Drive. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Moreland Cemetery.
