MILLIE STOMMEL
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mildred Pauline “Millie”
Henderlider Stommel, 84, of Bozeman, Montana, formerly of Idaho Falls,
passed away April 21, 2004, in Bozeman.
She was born September 16, 1919, in Boise, Idaho, the
third of four children born to Ray and Gerda Henderlider. She was raised
in Boise and graduated from Boise High School in 1939.
She married Robert Lloyd Stommel on September 1, 1940,
in Boise, and they moved to Bountiful, Utah, on their wedding day, where
Bob worked for Mountain Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company. Millie also
worked for a short time for the telephone company as an operator. In 1942,
they moved back to Boise, and in 1951, the family was transferred to Mountain
Home, Idaho, by the telephone company. In 1956 another transfer brought
them to Idaho Falls. Bob passed away April 19, 1995, and Millie moved
to Bozeman, Montana in September, 2002.
Millie enjoyed playing bridge, working in her yard and
flowerbeds, she was a fastidious housekeeper and was quite a good cook.
She was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church.

Son: Byron R. [Sylvia] Stommel (Idaho Falls, ID);
Son: Roger D. [Barbara] Stommel (Bozeman, MT);
Brother: Robert M. Henderlider (Boise, ID);
9 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob, and two brothers.
Graveside Funeral Services will be at 2:15 p.m. Monday,
April 26, 2004, at the Lincoln Cemetery, corner of Lincoln and Hitt Roads,
with Chaplain John Piirto of the Idaho Falls First Evangelical Lutheran
Church officiating.
The family will greet friends Monday from Noon to 2:00
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls.
Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
