Mildred A. Standley - 09/21/2002 Mildred A. Standley - 09/21/2002 MILDRED A. STANDLEY IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mildred A. Standley, 81, of Idaho Falls, died September 20, 2002, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center from natural causes. She was born April 5, 1921 in Copeland, Kansas to Harvey Harrison and Stella Marie Malone Harrison. She grew up and attended schools in Copeland, Kansas, graduating from Copeland High in 1939. She married Walter Miller in Jetmore, Kansas in 1939. They were later divorced. She married Milton E. Standley on March 25, 1946 in Dodge City. He preceded her in death July 24, 1987. She owned her own restaurants for many years in Dodge City, Kansas. After moving to Idaho, she worked at Rogers Brothers Potato Processing from 1970 until it's closure, and then for Pillsbury, Inc. in Shelley, from which she retired in 1996. She was an active participant in the Commission for the Blind. She enjoyed bowling on the Skyline Women's League Tuesday mornings for 10 years. She also enjoyed ceramics and weekly luncheons with her friends. Standley, Couer'd Alene, IDStepson: John Dee Standley, CABrother: George Harrison, Copeland, KSBrothers: Eldon (Francis) Harrison, Lockwood, MOBrother: James Harrison, AKSisters: Marie (Kent) Ross, Dodge City, KSSister: Jean Yount, Sublette, KS21 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 42 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a grandson. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of thePines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Cory Brower officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Good Samaritan Nursing Center, 840 East Elva, Idaho Falls, ID 83401. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at the Funeral Home on Tuesday.
