Mildred "Millie" Sauer

Mildred Call Sauer passed away Saturday July 17, 2010 of natural causes in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, while visiting with her family. Millie was born on May 7, 1924 in Chesterfield, ID to Israel Bowen Call and Charlotte Vienna Davids. She married Doane Hugh Sauer on July 15, 1944. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 5, 1962. Millie lived life to its fullest measure of joy. She cherished each moment she had with all her family. Grandma Sauer always had a way of making each grandchild feel as if he or she were her favorite one. Millie loved the Seattle Supersonics. She was witty, humorous, and loved to laugh. She could break an apple in half with her bare hands, which always brought smiles to the faces of her posterity. You could always count on having “Leofamedlers” and a treat at Grandma’s. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as her patriarchal blessing states she was “faithful to the end.” She is survived by all six daughters: Sherry S. (Lamont) Pugmire, Leslie Gen (Gordon) Comfort, Karen S. Anderson, Julie Ruth (Eugene) Avery, Jody S. (Larry) McClellan, and Wendy Idell (Greg) Cunningham. Her posterity includes 26 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, May (Ted) Adamson and Myra (Robert) Martinsen. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, three brothers, and her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Garfield 1st and 2nd Ward Chapel (71 North 3700 East in Rigby). The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Wood Fuenral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon)and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
