Mildred Loretta Whitney Cromwell, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 10, 2010 at her home of natural causes. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. Mildred was born September 3, 1919, in Crystal, North Dakota, to Estel Ephrum Whitney and Mable L. Johnson Whitney. She attended public schools in North Dakota. She married James Elmer Cromwell on June 4, 1938 in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls where they raised their daughter and two sons. Mildred worked as a seamstress. Mildred was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, rock hounding, needlework, and beading. Survivors include: Daughter: Sharon Simmons, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Robert James (Peggy) Cromwell, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Doyle (Bonnie) Cromwell, Ririe, ID 13 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, 12 Great-great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; son-in-law, Kay Simmons; her parents and siblings. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
