Mike West

Michael Edward West, 70, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away November 23, 2023, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls following many medical disabilities and difficulties most of his adult life. Mike was born January 25, 1953, in Los Angeles, California, to Harry West and Mary (Haggerty) West. He grew up and attended earlier schools in Inglewood, CA, and later, Orange County, CA, where he graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach, CA in 1971. He also attended Orange Coast College and received an AA degree prior to working in executive sales for large scale plumbing entities as a life fulfilling career.  Mike loved working sales in the plumbing industry and earned the respect, gratitude and friendship of customers doing business in both large and small scale plumbing projects throughout the Orange County, CA and Los Angeles County, CA Empires. He was also the catalyst member of a very active and loving family. Mike, being the oldest of four adventurist boys, created fun, excitement, and quite a charming chaos throughout his childhood leading through basically, his whole life, LOL.  He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, this was the center of his world and no place he'd rather be than with mom, dad, brothers, and relatives. Mike very much loved his place of employment also, he worked for 30 years and retired due to medical reasons. Mike was also a 4th generation family member of Idaho Falls, ID. Although he was not born or raised in Idaho, he was very much a part of the community with annual visits to relatives' ranches and eventually moving permanently to Idaho Falls in 2013. Mike is survived by his 3 younger brothers and their family members: Pat and Madelyn West & children Stacy and David of Cypress, CA, Tim West & children Ryan, Christine, and Rachel of Idaho Falls, ID, and Dan and Dina West and daughter Kelsey of Huntington Beach, CA. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Harry West, and Mary West, and Sister-in-Law Candice (Cleland) West. Service date will be announced later and will be combined with Mikes father, Captain USN (ret) Harry West of Idaho Falls, ID, 'Celebration of Life.' Harry and Mike will be celebrated joyfully with stories of love & laughter.
