Mike Lyon

Michael George Lyon, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 6, 2024, at his home.

Mike was born May 23, 1952, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Elvin George Lyon and Patrina Bolander Lyon. He grew up and attended schools in Firth, Idaho, and graduated from Firth High School.

In June of 1988, he married Lori Anderson in Idaho Falls. Mike and Lori made their home in Idaho Falls where he owned his own upholstery business, The Upholstery Center.

He enjoyed his 1947 CJ2A Willy's Jeep, woodworking, camping, games, Taco Friday with family, and making his yard beautiful. He had many award-winning custom interiors in many show cars.

Mike is survived by his wife, Lori Anderson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Traci (Eric) May of Franklin, ID; daughter, Jennifer (Tony) Little of Driggs, ID; son, Shawn (Kat) Lyon of Lake Arrowhead, CA; son, Jason (Sara) Anderson of Caldwell, ID; son, Aron (Cheri) Anderson of Meridian, ID; brother, Robert (Sandy) Lyon of Firth, ID; sister, Patty (Von) Jolley; sister, Dawn Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Colleen (Randy) Kidman of Shelley, ID; brother, Bryce (Diane) Lyon of Ammon, ID; 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Kelley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
