Mike Cutler

Michael Blake Cutler, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 23, 2014, at his home of complications due to cancer and Parkinson’s disease. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Mike was born November 6, 1938, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Del Blair Cutler and Nellie Blake Hendricksen Cutler. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Idaho State University. On June 27, 1958, he married Barbara Jean Chadwick in Blackfoot, Idaho. To this union were born four children, Troy Ann, Todd, Josh, and Zane. Mike and Jean made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he worked as a machinist in research and development for Bombardier West and Precision Boats. Mike was well known throughout the industry for his innovative work on high performance snowmobiles. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Eagle’s Lodge. He liked fast cars, snowmobiles, motorcycles, and making anything go fast. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and camping. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jean Cutler of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Todd Cutler of Sandy, UT; son, Josh (Maralee) Cutler of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Zane (Nanci) Cutler of Idaho Falls, ID; 3 grandchildren, McKenzie, Kaden, and Shaylee; brother, David (Michele) Cutler of Idaho Falls, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Troy Ann Cutler, and a sister, Shannon Crofts. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Avenue in Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
