Joseph Michael "Mike" Braun, 69, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born March 3, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, to J. B. Braun and Alvina Niespodzani Braun. He grew up and attended schools in Louisville, and graduated from DeSales High School. He also attended Southern Tech in Marietta, Georgia, on a basketball scholarship.
On September 23, 1994, he married Terese Irene Davis in Fort Walton, Florida. Mike and Terry made their final home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mike worked as a Facilities Manager for IBM in Atlanta, Georgia, and Grubb and Ellis Management Services in Atlanta and Seattle.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, horse racing, golf, baseball--especially the Atlanta Braves, and was a basketball fan of University of Kentucky. He loved being in the outdoors with the wildlife, visiting National Parks, and enjoying his daughters and grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his wife, Terry Braun of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Michelle (TJ) Bolen of Clover, SC; daughter, Ra`chel (Andrew) Maffei of Kennesaw, GA; daughter, Amy (Mathew) Tomsa of Spring, TX; sister-in-law, Betsy Hudson of Idaho Falls, ID; and 7 grandchildren, Easton and Richter Bolen; JB, Scarlett, and Delilah Maffei; and Kennedy and Finley Tomsa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alvina Braun; and his sister, Kathy Pinaire.
Private family services will be held.
