MIMI MCCHESNEY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mignon Maybelle "Mimi" McChesney, 70, died May 18, 2009 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 16, 1939 in Findlay, Ohio to Samual Waldrop McChesney, Jr and Dorothea Harriet Burnard McChesney. She graduated form Carey High School in Ohio and attended Ohio State University.
She married Charles Kenneth Bischoff. They were later divorced. She lived in Manitou Springs, Colorado for 20 years , New Mexico for 6 years and in the Idaho Falls area for 21 years where she worked as a real estate agent, insurance agent and an independent entrepreneur. She was also the assistant editor of the Ohio Engineer Newspaper.
During her lifetime she helped take care of disabled veterans and ministered to the elderly. Mimi enjoyed civic activities, helping others.
She loved oil painting, jewelry making, history and archaeology, religion, art history and Indian anthropology.
Mimi is survived by
Daughter, Denise (William) Brotherson on Ammon,
Daughter, Andrea Allyn (Llew) Wykel of Albuquerque, NM;
8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel McChesney, sister Eleanor McChesney and her parents.
A Wake and Memorial Service will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at the home of her daughter, Denise, at 3885 Ross Avenue, Ammon.

You have my sincerest sympathy & condolences in the death of Mimi.
I deeply regret that I was unable to attend her memorial service to show my respect in person.
I knew & worked with Mimi for a number of years while she volunteered on the TaxAide program.
She contributed much.
She will be missed.
