Mickey Lee David, 58, of Ammon, also known to her grandchildren as “Wah-Wah”, passed away November 12, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 12, 1953, in Maywood, California to Martin Roderick David and Ruth Elizabeth Sieling David. The family moved to the Idaho Falls area where she attended Hillview Elementary, Roberts Elementary, Midway Junior High, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1971.
On September 16, 1972, she married Emery Grant Smith in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. She was a mother, homemaker, and phenomenal cook. She worked as an Evidence Technician for the Idaho Falls Police Department. She loved the work she did and the comradery and friendships she gained within the department. While living in Shelley, she was Chairman of the Shelley Spud Days Celebration for multiple years and was voted Shelley Citizen of the Year. She was also a published author whose writings included “A Potato Cookbook” and “The Gadabout Gazzette”.
Mickey enjoyed fishing, including crawdad fishing; crocheting; camping; sewing; baking; cooking; Bingo; crafts; bowling; and doing genealogy. She especially loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild
and her beloved Miniature Pinscher, Doo-Dah
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jaime Lee Smith.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. November 17, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 9-10:50 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
