On October 28, 2022, Michelle Renae Youngblood, 66, of Idaho Falls, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father.
Michelle was born October 19, 1956, to Richard V. and Eileen Keller. She came into the world fighting, born at only 2.4 lbs.
Michelle was raised in Idaho Falls, and was the youngest of seven children. She loved her siblings dearly. She married the love of her life and soulmate, Lloyd Dean Youngblood, on November 27, 1980. Together, they became the parents of three beautiful girls, Lindsay, Autumn, and Cortney. Strong-minded, fierce, and unconditionally loving, she left a mark on anyone she met.
She was known as “mom” by many, often taking her daughters’ friends under her wing and loving them as her own. With an infectious laugh and heart of gold, she lived life on her own terms and made no apologies for it, a trait that she passed on to her daughters. She was always happiest when spending time with those she loved, especially if a Seahawks game was on. Faith, Family, and Football, in that order. A born-again Christian, she had a deep connection with her Lord and Savior. She loved passionately and fought passionately for what she believed in.
She was a collector of all things Coca-Cola, and loved cooking for family and friends, a skill she learned from her father. She could usually be found in her favorite chair, toothpick in mouth and scratch blanket in hand, cheering the Seahawks, her favorite team. To know Michelle was to love Michelle. She had a wild side, but she had amazing grace. Though she was usually the smallest in the room, she was always the loudest and the last to back down. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and traditions that her family will never forget. We will keep her in our hearts always and forever.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd Dean Youngblood; her three daughters, Lindsay Anderson of Idaho Falls, Autumn (Andy) Frisbey of Idaho Falls, and Cortney (Cody) Youngblood of Idaho Falls; nine grandchildren, Beau, Katlyn, Teesha, Isabel, Rio, MicKaila, Treysyn, Brynlee, and Piper; five great grandchildren, Allyah, Sofia, Jayden, Kaisley, and Karter; her mother, Eileen Keller of Idaho Falls; mother-in-law, Patsy Youngblood of Boise, ID; sister, Phyllis (Mike) Pekala of Idaho Falls; and two brothers, Jim Keller of Idaho Falls and Aaron Keller of Birmingham; and many close nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard V. Keller; father-in-law, Darrel Youngblood; sisters, Christine Reed and Sybil Williams; brother, Richard G. “Ralph” Keller; both sets of grandparents; and nephew, Phillip Conrad.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made towards funeral expenses at @Cortney-Youngblood08 (Venmo).
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services, both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
