Michelle Waters

April 15, 1963 - January 28, 2012

Michelle Dawn Waters, 48, of Ammon, passed away January 28, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family from complications of cancer. Michelle was born April 15, 1963, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Leonard Wayne Waters and DeeOn Brown Waters. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended St. Leon School, York School, and graduated from Bonneville High School in the Special Education program. Michelle worked at Development Workshop. She loved Special Olympics, where she participated in swimming and bowling and received several First Place awards. Michelle was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in the Special Needs Adult Program (SNAP). She loved playing memory match games, coloring, watching the Jazz games, watching LDS church programs on TV, and she especially loved eating Almond Joy candy bars. She took great delight in entering crafts in the Eastern Idaho State Fair. She is survived by: Her parents, Leonard and DeeOn Waters of Ammon, ID; Sister, Melody (Glen) Cook of Salt Lake City, UT; Sister, Kathy West of Ammon, ID; Sister, Kristy Arutyunova of Ammon, ID; Brother, Brett (Suzanne) Waters of Idaho Falls, ID; and all of her sisters at New Beginnings Community Living Home. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Leona Brown, and William and Hannah Waters. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at the Ammon LDS Third Ward, 2150 Avocet, with Bishop Sidney Beattie officiating. The family will visit with her special needs friends from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and with friends and family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Milo Cemetery.

The family will visit with her special needs friends from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and with friends and family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Milo Cemetery.
