Michelle Santos

Michelle Renee Santos, 39,of Idaho Falls, went peacefully to her heavenly home surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at her home in Idaho Falls. Michelle was born July 30, 1973, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Salvidor Jr. Salinas and Geneva Maria Segura. She was the 4th of 8 children of this union. She has three brothers and four sisters. She married Rafael Santos April 12, 1995, in Idaho Falls, and went on to have four beautiful girls. Michelle and Rafael divorced some time later. Michelle was a homemaker for most of her life and she loved every minute of it. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends as much as possible. She loved to cook and loved trying new things. She also loved to see what others had cooked. It was her famous saying "What's to eat?” when she would go visit family and friends. Despite the fact that Michelle had a lot of health problems, she always thought of others and what she could do for them. She loved to keep busy, she loved to do crafts and go swimming when she could. Most important she loved her grandkids. She has six and one on the way. Michelle thrived in spoiling and spending time with each and every one of them when she could. She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt. Michelle is a very special person and will be missed by all. She is survived by her children: Daughter, Cecilia Marie (Jorge) Gomez; Daughter, Angelica (Santi) Izucar; Daughter, Yvette Santos; and Daughter, Veronica Santos, all of Idaho Falls. 6 Grandchildren, Josaiyah, Isaiyah, Jaleiyah Izucar and Geovanni & Aendrez Gomez; Mom and Step-Dad, Geneva (Hernunio) Cruz; Brother, John (Debra) Salinas; Sister, Maria Elena (Atanacio) Acosta; Sister, Erica Giles; Sister, Jessica (T. J.) Romero Half brother, Juan Salinas; Half brother, Alvaro Ricardo (Rachael) Salinas; Half sister, Irma (Jose) Trevino. Michelle was preceded in death by her father Salvidor Jr. Salinas and her grandson, Junior Gomez. The family will visit with friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Fielding Memorial Park, Idaho Falls, with Father Raul R. Covarrubias of Idaho Falls Catholic Community officiating. There will be a dinner held at Christ the King Church directly thereafter.
