Michelle Elizabeth Johnson, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 31, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
Michelle was born April 3, 1956, in Tacoma, Washington to Thelma Westbrook and Paul Cooke. She was raised by Helen Lewis and Andy Lewis, her adopted family. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended school at A.H. Bush Elementary School and O. E. Bell Junior High School, and took a college course in Pasadena, California.
On April 2, 2011, she married Joe Allen Brown in Idaho Falls. Michelle and Joe made their home in Idaho Falls, where Michelle owned her own cleaning business and was a dedicated hard worker. She loved what she did, and her clients greatly appreciated the quality of her work.
Michelle grew up attending church with her mom at the Community Church of God in Christ. No matter where she lived, she always found a church to attend. Although she did not have a home-based church in her current area, she maintained her faith by reading her Bible and having Bible study sessions with her sisters in Washington.
Michelle had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She enjoyed fishing, camping, collecting rocks, and putting together puzzles and crosswords. She also took great pride in taking care of her house plants and cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her love for animals was evident, as she adored them greatly.
Michelle was known for her bright smile and playful spirit. She loved to joke around and had a youthful, lighthearted nature. Despite any personal struggles she faced, she rarely showed it, only sharing her pain if she chose to. Michelle was deeply compassionate, always putting others' needs before her own and striving to help those around her. Michelle had the incredible experience of finding her biological mother later in life, and she was able to get to know her before she passed.
Michelle was wise, strong, and courageous. She is loved by many and will be missed. She is forever in our hearts.
