Michele Rae (Woodburn) Kawamura

Michele Rae Kawamura, 61, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024.

Michele was born on January 4, 1963, in Burlington, North Carolina, to Raymond and Delores Woodburn. She attended Northeast Guilford High School in North Carolina and furthered her education at Idaho State University and received a B.S. Degree in Nursing.

She was outgoing, always seeking knowledge, and helping those around her. If she wasn’t on the phone lending advice or deep cleaning the house, you would be able to find her at Myrtle Beach. Michele loved to cook, water ski, and loved nothing more than to be with her grandchildren. To know Michele, was to love and adore her for who she was.

Michele lived a beautiful life and was a dear friend to many. But most importantly, she was a wonderful mother to her daughters, who she loved so fiercely and so deeply. Also, she had become the world's best Gigi to her grandchildren.

Michele is survived by her three daughters, Lauren Cromie of Denver, CO, Kiley and Kiran Kawamura of Idaho Falls, ID; siblings, Myrel Woodburn of Lynchburg, VA and Megan Mclean of Myrtle Beach, SC; and two grandchildren, Penelope and Beckham Bonney of Idaho Falls.
