Michael Potter

Michael Troy Potter, 41, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 10, 2013, at his home from a sudden illness. Mike was born February 8, 1971, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Wayne D. Potter and Pamela May Murdock Potter. He moved to Snoqualmie, Washington, in 1978, where he lived and attended school. He moved back to Idaho in 1986, and went to Skyline High School. Mike met Sandy Jo Alldredge in Idaho Falls and they have been together for 18 years. They have three daughters, Chelsy, 18, Brittany, 15, and Tiffany, 12. They were married December 12, 2004, in Idaho Falls. Mike was a beloved son, father, husband, brother, and friend to those in all walks of life. His most cherished times were spent in the outdoors with his family and friends, camping, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and jet skiing. Mike loved life and his family; he always strived to do the best for them. Mike was self-employed and the owner of Potter’s Painting in Idaho Falls for many years. Painting was his passion, along with his family. Mike was always there to help those in need and brought joy and hope to all of our lives. He will be dearly missed until we meet again. While we mourn our loss, we also celebrate his life. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Potter of Idaho Falls, ID, Daughter, Chelsy Lee Alldredge of Idaho Falls, ID, Daughter, Brittany Adrian Potter of Idaho Falls, ID, Daughter, Tiffany Paige Potter of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister, Angela Potter of Idaho Falls, ID, Sister, Wendy Potter of Salt Lake City, UT; Brother, Brett Wayne Potter of Dubuque, IA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Wood Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial donations to the Mike Potter Memorial Fund at Citizen’s Community Bank, 900 South Utah Avenue, Idaho Falls, ID 83402.
