MICHAEL R. PACKER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Michael Rudd Packer, 36, of Idaho Falls, died June 25, 2005.
He was born February 21, 1969, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ossian L. Packer and Donna Rudd Packer and grew up in St. Anthony. He graduated from South Fremont High School in 1987. Following graduation, he attended Ricks College. He served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Arcadia Mission. After returning home, he attended school at the University of Utah.
He worked as a mortgage loan broker in Salt Lake City. He was currently attending school at Idaho State University.
Mike loved being with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was always willing to spend time with them and they all loved him very much. He enjoyed water skiing and snow skiing; Lake Powell and Bear Lake were two of his favorite vacation spots. He not only loved skiing himself, but he also spent many hours patiently teaching his nieces and nephews to water ski.
Mike was a great help to his elderly parents, always willing to do whatever needed to be done, in addition to helping his brother and sisters at their homes and with their families.
Michael is survived by his parents, Ossian and Donna; his sisters, Lynnette (Jerry) Beste, Lori (Sergio) Horcos, Lisa (Kyle) Stewart, and Lee (Tim) Urling; his brother Flint (Lisa) Packer and 20 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at the Sunnyside/Holmes Ward Building (3195 S. Holmes) with Bishop Howard Harper, of the Idaho Falls LDS Shamrock Park Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Parker Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
