Michael Jack Mcclaskey

Michael Jack McClaskey, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 19, 2024, at home.

Michael was born January 19, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kenneth Leon McClaskey and Barbara Mary Leavitt McClaskey. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.

On February 3, 1970, he married Carol Florence McClaskey in Utah. Michael and Carol made their home in Idaho Falls, where Michael worked as a construction worker.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed motorbikes, car shows, concerts, trips (including Disneyland), and most of all, time with grandkids.

Michael is survived by his son, Kenneth (April) McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Chris  McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Geni (Kevin) McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; 7 grandchildren and 23  great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Mary McClaskey; father, Kenneth Leon McClaskey; grandmother, Mabel Clark McClaskey; and grandfather; Jack McClaskey.

He passed just 3 days before his wife, Carol Florence McClaskey.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday January 29, 2024, at the Ammon Cemetery (2550 E. Sunnyside). The family will visit with friends at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to services.
