Michael Groh

Michael Robert Groh, proud father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center at the age of 62. Mike was born November 2, 1949, in Great Bend, Kansas, to Robert Groh and Ethel Lucile Clark Groh. He graduated from Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. He continued his education at the University of Idaho and earned a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Mike served his country in the United States Navy. Mike loved skiing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, fast cars, NASCAR, and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He lived a full and fast life. Mike leaves behind: Daughter: Terra (Eric) Stark of Boise, ID; Daughter: Kita Groh of Kent, WA; Granddaughter, Marquita; Mother: Lucile Long of Flagstaff, AZ; Sister: Terra (Perry) Crampton of Flagstaff, AZ; Brother: Phillip Long, Jr. of Seattle, WA; Brother: Jim Long of Fairfax, VA. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Groh and his stepfather, Phillip Long, Sr. A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012, from 5-7:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). A dinner will be served.
