Michael Duncan

Michael Rodney "Mike" Duncan, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away from a long-term illness January 19, 2011, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Mike was born November 13, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jay Wayne Duncan and Bonnita Ellen Harrison Duncan. He grew up in Rigby and attended Bonneville High School. He served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. In 1980, Mike married Cindy Louise Stogner in Idaho Falls. They were later divorced. He met his long term partner, Noreen Baar, in 1990 in Idaho Falls. Mike worked at Basic American Foods, Frito Lay, and in the oil fields of Wyoming. He was affiliated with the Catholic Faith and loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. Surviving are his life partner, Noreen Baar of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Joshua (Mistie) Caillier if Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Mikelyn (Bobby) Bartrop of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Alicia (Charlie) Ward of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Jeff Baar of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Christina Kolher of Everett, WA; Daughter: Rosie Baar of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Maggie (Joe) Hruska of Idaho Falls, ID; Brothers: Larry Duncan, Wayne Floyd Schofield, Jeff Duncan, Derk (Terri) Duncan, Dennis (Tona) Duncan, all of Idaho; Sisters: Wanda Schofield, Bonnie Duncan Bradley, Chyllia Duncan, Cheryll Duncan, and sister-in-law, Janet Duncan, all of Idaho; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jay Wayne Duncan, and his granddaughter, Grayce Lynn Caillier. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 12 Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at the Idaho Falls Elks Lodge, 640 East Elva Street, with Military Rites at 1 p.m. performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
