Michael "Mike Conrad" Conrad

Michael Ellsworth "Mike" Conrad, 53, of Idaho Falls, died July 19, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Mike was born April 2, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Byard Wild Conrad and Veda Ellsworth Conrad. A lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, he grew up here and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He married Stephanie West and they were later divorced. He married Phyllis Keller and they were later divorced. Dona Daw has been his life companion for 10 years. Mike worked in construction and owned his own construction business, Superior Dry Wall and Paint. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mike enjoyed motorcycles, racing, fishing, boating, and snowmobiles. He had worked as a fishing guide and was a master craftsman at dry wall and painting. Mike was a mighty man in a small package. Mike was a man of compassion and cared deeply for his family, friends, and humankind. Mike often stopped to help a fellow being in need, even though he tried to act the tough guy on the outside. D. (Melissa) Conrad and family of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Jenny (Ken) Nielsen of Blackfoot, ID Sister: Carol (Alan) Radford of Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Lynette (Tobe) Dunn of Idaho Falls, ID 4 Grandchildren, Taylor Conrad, Carson Conrad, Alexis Conrad, and Brooklyn Conrad, and 8 Step Grandchildren, Kirstan Daw, Sativa King, Tori Daw, Jaden Sanders, Sadee Sanders, Jayden Daw, Colton Daw, and Kaitie Daw. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepbrother, David Allen. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Rose Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Gordon Boyle of Idaho Falls Calvary Chapel officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. A Gathering for family and friends will be held following the services at the Conrad home, 4946 West 17th South, Idaho Falls. Salmon and meat will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a potluck dish, memories, and pictures to share.
