Michael Bush

Michael Glenn Bush, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 12, 2023.

Michael was born January 29, 1961, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Glen Ray and Cora Rowberry. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho and attended Bonneville High School and Idaho State University.

On April 7, 1978, he married Dianne Moore, in Idaho Falls. Michael and Dianne welcomed their son David in 1979. After that, Michael joined the Navy and moved the family to Bremerton, WA. While in the Navy, he was on the USS Arkansas, which was the first nuclear powered ship through the Suez Canal. After an honorable discharge, Michael and Dianne made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Michael worked as a Network Security Engineer for INL, until his retirement.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He liked to tinker with his ‘70 Chevelle and computers. He enjoyed wood working, camping, fishing, spoiling his dog Cody, and being with his wife Dianne.

Michael is survived by his wife, Dianne Bush of Idaho Falls, ID; son, David (Elizabeth) Bush of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Cora (Vern) Bush; and sisters, JoAnn and Tina.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Ray Rowberry; brother, Ralph; and sister, DeAnn.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
