Michael Joseph Braden, 51, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away from a brain tumor on August 8, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.
Mike was born May 15, 1962, in Zilwaukee, Michigan, to Harold Wayne Braden and Carol Jean Branum Braden.
His family moved several times during Mike’s childhood, settling in Poplar Bluff, Missouri where he graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 1980.
Mike worked for many years at the Daily American Republic Newspaper with his father. After high school, he became a journeyman plumber and worked for Ivey’s Mechanical, building hospitals all over the country. In 1986, he moved to Idaho Falls to work on the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center project. He settled in Idaho Falls and worked for Bingham Mechanical for the next 25 years as a plumber and superintendent on many building projects in Southeastern Idaho. He also loved to help his friends and church with plumbing projects.
In 1983 Mike married Eileen Spencer in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had 30 wonderful years together and have two great children, Lauren and Matthew. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was attending Calvary Chapel at the time of his death. He enjoyed shooting with the Southeast Idaho Practical Shooters, camping and biking with friends, hunting, and any activity his children were involved in. He and Eileen were volunteers for the Colonial Theater for many years.

Brother, Phillip Wayne Braden of Glasgow, Kentucky
Sister, Pamela Carol (Tom) Norman of Springfield, Missouri .
He was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Marie Braden, his grandparents, Thelma Stockton, Floyd Braden, Ritta Branum and Fred Branum, and his niece, Amanda Marie Braden.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 665 John Adams Parkway, with Pastor Ben Moor officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m., both at the church.
