Michael Raymond Bohney, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on July 28, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Michael was born June 5, 1958, in Pocatello, Idaho, to George Raymond Bohney and Grace Darlene Quigley Bohney. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, and graduated from Bonneville High School.
Michael made his home in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he met the love of his life, David Frost. Michael worked for Continental Airlines/United Airlines. After retiring he moved back to Idaho Falls to be closer to his family.
He and David enjoyed golfing, camping, and being outdoors. He loved to travel and spending time with family. Mike also enjoyed working at WinCo with his co-workers. He was famous for his homemade Carrot Cake. He loved his dogs, Maggie, Kita, Bella and Monkey.
Michael is survived by his mother, Darlene Bohney Kinghorn; step-father, Bill Kinghorn; sister, Joy Storer of Ucon, ID; sister, Jan Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Jay (LeAnn) Bohney of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Jennifer (Mike) Kinghorn of McCammon, ID; sister, Gloria (Walter) Bingham of Fredricksburg, VA; sister, Collise DeVeaux of Oregon; step-brother, Billy (Shelley) Kinghorn of Pocatello, ID; and step-sister, Kimberly (Lane) Carroll of Blackfoot, ID.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Raymond Bohney, his life partner, David Frost; and his grandparents.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah. The family will visit with friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Sunday, at Wood Funeral Home 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls.
