MERLIN HILL
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Merlin Wilson Hill, 90, of Idaho Falls, died May 30, 2007, at Idaho Falls Health and Rehab.
He was born March 23, 1917, at Rigby, Idaho, to Henry Hill and Elnora Ann Ellis Hill. At the age of 6, he moved with his family to Bear Creek Ranch in Swan Valley, where he attended Fidelity Grade School, and later moved to Idaho Falls where he attended East Side Elementary. He graduated from the eighth grade in Idaho Falls.
On January 22, 1946, he marred Verla Mae Hill in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple June 3, 1958. He was a rancher in Swan Valley and later worked as a mechanic when he moved to Idaho Falls.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held the office of Elder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodcrafting, gardening, and yardwork. Merlin especially loved his family and found great joy in the time he spent with them.

Brother: Lloyd Hill, Boise, ID
Brother: Irvin Hill, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Max Hill, Caldwell, ID
9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and on Monday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
