Merelin Pamela Miles passed away peacefully, at home on November 30, 2024, at the age of 82.
Merelin was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Anna Mae Lewis and Frank Van Buren. Merelin grew up in the Twin Falls, Idaho, area and later lived in Fort Hall, Dubios, Idaho Falls, and most recently Pocatello, Idaho.
As a young adult she worked at several different retirement homes and she enjoyed sharing stories about all of the residents she served. When Merelin resided in Dubois, she took pride in volunteering at the Clark County election polls and she would always arrive with homemade baked goods to share with others.
Merelin was married to Walter F. Miles on September 4, 1976. They were married for 41 years before "Walt's," passing in 2017. Merelin had a keen interest in hunting, enjoyed baking, and sharing all the newest recipes she had discovered. She is known for her determination, independence, and stubbornness, qualities that shaped the path she walked.
Merelin is survived by her children, Guy (Linda) Henstock of Pocatello, Pamela Henstock of Oregon, Dee Henstock of Twin Falls, Keith "Chip" (Kathy) Henstock of Kimberly, and Melissa (Randy) Uehling of Idaho Falls; brother, Melvin (Karma) Van Buren, sisters, Sheila (Dave) Rutter, Pat Blunt, and Melody Collins. She has 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great- grandchildren.
Merelin is preceded in death by her mom Anna Mae Schroter, her husband Walt Miles, son Brian Henstock, and grandson Steven Earley.

A burial will be done at a later time at the Veteran's cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
