MELVIN L. HULT
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Melvin Laval Hult, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 25, 2005, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehab.
Melvin was born July 6, 1919, in Shelley, Idaho, to Peter and Nellie Mitchell Hult. He grew up and attended schools in Shelley, graduating from Shelley High School. He then attended the Agricultural College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls. Melvin served his country as a Corporal in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Melvin married Florence Mary Martin February 19, 1943, in Tacoma, Washington. They made their home in Blackfoot for three years following the war, then lived briefly in the Rose area and Shelley until they bought their farm near Idaho Falls. He worked as a farmer all his life. Florence passed away January 28, 2003.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Melvin enjoyed watching boxing, farming, and visiting with friends and family.

7 Grandchildren: Jeremy (Michelle Sangray) Hult, Amy (Rick) Lords, Shaylyn and Zach Lawson, Lee (Jamie) Kerns, and Kris Andersen, all of Idaho Falls, and Jennifer Walker of Jacksonville, FL
10 Great Grandchildren: Brianna Hult, Dylan Lords, Jayce Lords, Riley Lords, Kody Kerns, Savannah Kerns, Nick Swanson, Chloe Walker, Alexis and Tavia Andersen.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Florence, and all ten of his siblings (six brothers and four sisters).
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Friday, July 1, 2005, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Friday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge).
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
