MELVIN C. FRANDSEN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Melvin C. Frandsen, 91, of Iona, died November 20, 2005, at his home.
He was born June 20, 1914, in Iona, to Peter Marinus Frandsen and Anne Roseta Cooper Frandsen. He grew up in the area and attended Ammon High School.
On September 18, 1934, he married Ivy Lavender Field in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was a farmer and also worked as a factory worker and a custodian for the Bonneville County School District.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Elders Quorum President, Sunday School President, High Councilor and in the Bishopric. He also served as a Temple Officiator for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.

Brother: Ray Edgar (Mary Jo) Frandsen, Idaho Falls, ID
18 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters, Barbara Frandsen and Joyce Frandsen Moon; and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at the Iona LDS Stake Center (corner of Iona Rd and Ririe Hwy) with Bishop Geoffrey Thomas of the Iona 5th Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon) and Wednesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side.
