Melva Tilley

Melva Gene Tilley, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 7, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Melva was born August 7, 1935, in Paul, Idaho, to Lewis Allen Hicks and Hannah E Brown Hicks. She grew up and attended schools in Paul, Idaho, and graduated from Paul High School.

On October 3, 1954, she married Corwyn LeRoy Tilley in Paul, Idaho. To this union were born three children, Chris, Darwin and Gary. Melva and Corwyn made their home in Pocatello, Idaho. They later moved to Idaho Falls in 2013.

She was a founding member of the Chubbuck United Methodist Church and served on the board of directors. Melva also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Melva is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Corwyn LeRoy Tilley; daughter, Chris (Bob) Adolfson of Shelley, ID; on, Gary (Kayleen) Tilley of Pocatello, ID; grandchildren, Tori Adolfson White, Elizabeth Adolfson Henry, Kira Tilley Williams, Louis Darwin Tilley and great grandchildren, Caden (Whitey) White, Addysen White, Kayla Dawn Williams, Mearah Tilley, Kendrick Henry, Taylen Henry, Rhyland Henry, and Hartley Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret Ellen Weaver and Betty Lou Morton; brother, William Hicks; son, Darwin Lewis Tilley and a great-grandson, Rhyland Gerald Henry.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at the Chubbuck United Methodist Church, 5147 Whitaker Road, in Chubbuck, with Pastor Davey officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello.
