Melissa Anne Pitman, 47, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 11, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Melissa was born April 20, 1978, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kenneth Daniel High and LaRee Anne Biggs High. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and attended Skyline High School and Idaho State University. She graduated as Valedictorian from ISU with a 4.0 GPA.
On June 6, 2003, she married Jerry Lynn Pitman in Idaho Falls. Melissa and Jerry made their home in Idaho Falls.
She was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but did not affiliate with any church or ward. She loved the food network, especially the "Guy's Grocery Games." She loved being with family, enjoyed the musical "Hamilton," and anything to do with space or NASA.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Jerry Lynn Pitman of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kimber Morrow of Idaho Falls, ID; son, David High of Rigby, ID; son, Matthew Morrow of St. Anthony, ID; daughter, Hallie Pitman of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, LaRee Anne High of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Brent High of Boise, ID; and brother, Troy Johnson of Seattle, WA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Daniel High, and her brother, Brandon Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Eagle Rock Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia, 840 E. Elva Street in Idaho Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to your favorite charity.
