JEWELL NELSON
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Melba “Jewell” Nelson, 70,
of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died October 6, 2003, at the Eastern Idaho Regional
Medical Center.
She was born July 17, 1933, in Rigby, Idaho, to Edward
Golden Littleford and Edith Melba Haddon Littleford. She grew up and attended
Rigby grade school, Ogden and Pocatello grade schools, O. E. Bell Jr. High
School and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She has lived in Idaho
Falls since 1964.
She married Dareld Eugene Nelson October 21, 1975, in Idaho
Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple June
3, 1978.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, she served as a Genealogical Librarian for 39 years, and in the
Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School.
She loved her family and enjoyed personal genealogy, sewing,
crocheting, knitting, tatting and music.

Brother: Roger (Kay) Littleford, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Kenneth (Jacque)Littleford, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Ted (Doreen)Littleford, Idaho Falls, ID
22 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Darla, and one brother,
Golden L. Littleford.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, October
10, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Central Stake Center, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive,
with Bishop Dan Perkins of the Idaho Falls LDS 22nd Ward officiating.
The family will visit with friends Friday from 7-8:30 p.m.,
at Wood Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to services Saturday at the
church.
Burial will be in Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery under the direction
