Melba (Yeaman) Jensen

Melba Yeaman Jensen, 96, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 16, 2022, at Red Cliffs Skilled Nursing Facility, in St. George, Utah.

Melba was born June 30, 1925, in Lorenzo, Idaho, to Joseph Leon Yeaman and Florence Bownes Yeaman.  She grew up on a farm in Lorenzo, Idaho, and graduated from Rigby High School in 1943.

On July 5, 1944, she married Delbert Vern Jensen in Rigby, Idaho. Melba and Delbert made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Melba worked as a Wholesale Manager for Anderson’s Incorporated.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed knitting, puzzles, bowling, playing cards, the Utah Jazz, and going to Island Park.

Melba is survived by her daughters, Jolene Anderson and Marsha Lyn (Charles Andy) Jones, both of Idaho Falls, ID; five grandchildren, Blake Anderson of Brigham City, UT, Brady (Ulla) Anderson of Turku, Finland, Bryan (Mandy) Anderson of St. George, UT, Jennifer (Ty) Jones of Idaho Falls, ID, and Jeremy (Diana) Jones of Las Vegas, NV; ten great-grandchildren, Julia, Alyssa, Nathan, Patrick, Ursula, Tristan, Samantha, Zachary, Andrew, and Declan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Florence Yeaman; husband, Delbert Vern Jensen; baby son, Keith Vern Jensen; great-granddaughter, Sabine Anderson; brothers, Cyril Yeaman and Darrell Yeaman; and sister, Luella Christensen.

A gathering will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
