Medena Christensen

MEDENA CHRISTENSEN MADRAS, OR -- Medena Pickett Christensen, 90, formerly of Idaho Falls, died June 21, 2004, at the home of her son in Madras, Oregon. She was born November 11, 1913, in Murtaugh, Idaho, to Hyrum Pickett and Minnie Tolman Pickett. She attended schools in the area and later graduated from college at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. She married Leonard Christensen on July 23, 1935, in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a mother, homemaker, and a teacher. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed knitting afghans and baby booties and reading. Surviving are: Daughter: Mary Lue (Jack) Davey, Boise, ID Son: Larry (Sharon) Christensen, Yacolt, WA Son: Shad [Linda] Christensen, Madras, OR Son: Glade Christensen, Barbados Daughter: Gayla Miller, Redmond, OR Son: Kim (RaeAnna) Christensen, Salem, UT Daughter: Colette Vick, Redmond, OR 37 Grandchildren, 63 Great Grandchildren, and 16 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, Idaho Falls, ID.
