MAXINE ORME
SANDY, UT -- Maxine Orme passed away on February 10, 2008, in Sandy, Utah.
She was born December 1, 1913, in Rexburg, Idaho. Her parents were William Martin and Mina Mae Ovard.
She married Reed S Orme October 5, 1932, in the Salt Lake Temple at Salt Lake City, Utah. As a married couple, they lived in St Anthony, Idaho, and later Idaho Falls, Idaho. Three years after the death of her husband she moved to Sandy, Utah.
Her hobbies included needle work, cooking, home decorating and gardening. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has served in the Primary, Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Association, and the Relief Society.
She is survived by her four children: Gordon Reed Orme (Cherie) of Orem, Utah; Kathryn Doxey (John) of Modesto, California; Nancy Jo Lemmon (Clark) of Rigby, Idaho; and Sally LaRee Asay of Sandy, Utah.
Always a great support to her family, she will always be remembered as a loving mother and devoted grandmother of fifteen grandchildren, forty two great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Her keen sense of humor was a delight to everyone who knew her and her kindness touched all our lives. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years and by her four brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in the Wood Funeral Home Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho, under the direction of Larkin Mortuary. A viewing will be held one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
