Maxine Edwards

Maxine Jane Hunt Edwards, 66, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away April 21, 2011, at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot following a lingering illness. Maxine was born March 11, 1945, in Portland, Oregon, to John Vernal Hunt and Mildred Jane Oakey Hunt. She grew up Roberts and attended schools there. On November 8, 1968, she married LeRoy Don Edwards in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They made their home in Osgood and Idaho Falls. Maxine was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Maxine enjoyed camping, going on drives and trips, and watching and spending time with all of her grandkids. Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, LeRoy, two sons, John (Becky) Bate of Rigby, ID and Mark (Genette) Edwards of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Donna (Will) Hall of Blackfoot, ID; three brothers, Max (JoAnn) Oakey of Archer, Idaho, Farrell (Arlene, deceased) Hunt of Roberts, Idaho, and Jerry (Sheryl) Hunt of Milo, Idaho; a sister, Colleen(Roy) Richards of Blackfoot, Idaho; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her twin sister, Marilyn. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
