Maxine Burch

Maxine Helen (Routh) Burch, 77, of Caldwell, Idaho, formerly of Idaho Falls and Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 30, 2016, in Nampa, Idaho.

Maxine was born to Melborne Alfred Routh and Elizabeth Kosiba on February 26, 1938. In high school, she participated in drama, and was quite good at it, landing herself in the newspaper and winning many awards for her performances.

She enjoyed watching classic movies, playing cards, going to dinner with her dear friends, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She was a voracious reader who helped manage a bookstore as well as a bed and breakfast. She also loved to cook, fire ceramics, and craft.

With her private investigators license, she also loved to help others recover unfound properties.

She was a wonderful grandmother, mother, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy Routh; and husband of 20 years, John Raymond Burch; as well as her infant daughter, Susan Marie Burch.

Maxine is survived by her brother, Phillip Routh of Louisiana; sons, Brian (Miriam) Burch; Brad (Mieta) Burch; Jared (Season) Burch; Rex (Jill) Burch and eight grandchildren, Sydney and Sigourney; Qaiser; Chase, Jonah, and Brooklyn; and Tayla and Ashtyn Burch.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will meet from 8:30-9 a.m. with a public visitation to follow from 9-9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Heyburn Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn, Idaho.
