MAX R. OSTLER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Max R. Ostler, 71, of Idaho Falls, died
June 19, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 7, 1931, in Sugar City, Idaho, to George
Lloyd Ostler and Georgiana Ricks Ostler. He grew up in the Sugar City area
and attended schools there graduating in 1951. He attended Ricks College
for two years. He served in the Southwest Indian Mission from 1951 to 1953.
On November 2, 1955, he married Nondus McLain in the Idaho
Falls LDS Temple. He worked for several local businesses and the LDS Church.
After retirement he served several missions at the Family History Center.
At the time of his death he was a member of the High Priests Group.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed genealogy and working on his home computer.

Son: Douglas (Lucy) Ostler, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Michael (Gloria) Ostler, Worland, WY
Daughter: Judy Wells, Pocatello, ID
Brother: Paul (Katie) Ostler, Idaho Falls, ID
20 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild
Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gary R. Ostler, and one great
granddaughter, Bonnie Lynn Ostler.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 23,
2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 21st Ward (1155 1st Street) with Bishop Dean
Arnoldsen officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 7-8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services
at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
