Max was born July 19, 1932, in LaBelle, Idaho, to Joseph Lavern Lundquist and Eileen Boyce Lundquist. He moved with his family to the Swan Valley area, where they created the Lundquist Ranch. He has loved farming and animals his entire life. After graduating from Idaho Falls High School, he joined the United States Marine Corps. He met and fell in love with Neita Hess, who couldn’t resist this good-looking man in a Marines uniform. They were married November 19, 1952, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Max and Neita started their marriage stationed at the Marine Base in Oceanside, California. Max served in the Marines from 1951-1954 and was sent to Korea, where he bravely served. After the war, Max and Neita returned to Swan Valley to ranch, farm, and raise their beautiful family. Max is survived by all six of his children, Lynda Meservy, Luann (Brian) Marsden; Lorie (Bryan) Murray; Lanae (Jeff) Meyer; Leisa (Stacey) Barker; and Robert (Chalice) Lundquist. Max and Neita had 63 hard but happy years providing food for Americans and raising a great and loving family. Max has been a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in many callings. He is known as a man of his word, an honest and generous man who would do anything to help his fellow farmers, friends or family. His work ethic was impeccable. He was very selfless and was always looking for ways to help others. Max was a true friend to all who knew him. He had a tender heart. Max was quite the joke teller and his infectious laugh made everyone smile! He enjoyed working on and restoring farm equipment and vehicles, spending time with family, friends, and pets. In addition to his children, Max is survived by his wife, Neita; a sister, Betty Muir; 26 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Max was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Lundquist; and a granddaughter, Brittany Marsden.
