MAX ELLS
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO: Walter Maxwell “Max” Ells, 88, of Idaho Falls, died March 14, 2003, at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Center.
He was born February 2, 1915 in Kamiah, Idaho, to Walter Wooster and Jane Ellen Adkins Ells. He spent his childhood in St. Mary's, Idaho where he attended school and graduated from high school. During World War II he was a welder for the Seattle shipyard for mine sweepers.
He married Marian Elizabeth Stone , December 31, 1940 in Spokane WA. He worked as clerk for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He and his wife lived in Eugene, Oregon most of their lives until the past few years when they moved back to the Idaho area to be by their daughter. His wife died April 30, 2000.
He was a Junior Achievement counselor and an Eagle Scout leader. He was a member of the Methodist church. He enjoyed bowling, golf and playing the organ. He was a man of honor, love and devotion and may he be reunited with his beloved wife, Marian.
Surviving are:His daughter, Linda H. (David) Myers of Idaho Falls and two grandsons and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters
At his request private family services will be held at his daughter’s home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., in Idaho Falls.
